Despite your best efforts to maintain situational awareness and the avoidance of conflict, you as a CCW permit holder may be faced with a deadly imminent threat. You will in mere seconds have to act swiftly and decisively to end that threat. To achieve this requires skill in the usage of your firearm. Skills require training and practice. At the minimum, you should be able to do the following, if you are going to carry a concealed firearm.

  • Have the ability to act quickly, safely, and efficiently to present your firearm from concealment.
  • Fire your firearm rapidly, striking the threat from a realistic distance knowing what is beyond the threat. This may require a single shot or multiple
shots fired in a short time.
  • The ability to reload your firearm quickly and safely.
  • The knowledge and skill to be able to fix any malfunction of your firearm to prevent it from firing.
