Many people believe that Police are their to protect us and sometimes that is very true. So many men & women in various law enforcement agencies have given their own life to protect strangers who were in danger. But are they legally obligated to do so?

First responders; Law Enforcement, Fire Fighters, Emergency Medical Personnel, Security and the US Military each wear uniforms. Those who have taken on this awesome responsibility knowing the dangers that are part of their jobs. Many of them have gone beyond what is required and risk their own lives for the sake of strangers. But each of us is are own “First Responder” we have to be able to protect ourselves and our families. People rarely rise to meet a challenge, most will fall to their individual level of training.
